Still Motion - Desert Active Lifestyle Portraits

A few months back Joy reached out to me on Instagram wanting to collab on a photoshoot next time she was in the area. She mentioned she was into free wilderness feels and yoga, which sparked the inspiration for playing with the contrast of stillness and motion. Joy and I headed out to use the cooler, calm morning light of the sunrise hours among the Joshua trees of Beaver Dam Mountains. For part two, a co-worker of mine got me in contact with Alivia and Mikel, a couple of dancers at the local college. We trekked out to the same location to utilize the warmer glow of sunset.
